GLOCCOVNAA is an abbreviation for 'Great Life of Conflict, Climax or Virtually Nothing At All'. That was the long and ridiculous name I came out for my blog when I was 18 years old. Do click on the colourful icons on the right to check out different types of posts in this blog.

Mystery Of The Unknown: The Sandwich Between Christmas And New Year

The Christmas day is regarded as one of the most sacred day to the 2.1 billion Christians in the world. But have you ever wondered whether Christmas has any meaning now with the various types of fogs clouding with commercial and political influences that comes in Christmas Sales, Guess The Gift In Santa’s Bag and many more. I cannot help but to consider this day the birthday of Jesus Christ or just a holiday splash that happens to be just a week from the New Year. I am not going to argue about the significant of the day since I am not a Christian but I just want to highlight the misuse of happy occasions.

For many Christians and also non-Christians, Christmas reminds everyone of the aroma of turkeys, chocolates and definitely the Ho-ho voice of Santa Claus. But Santa Claus is normally the main attraction especially to the children who hopes for gifts under their Christmas Tree. I have always queried about the story of Santa Claus and his reindeers from the North Pole. Various sources have stated that Santa Claus is actually St. Nicholas of Myra, a saint from Turkey, not the North Pole. The great man told in the story books and films was just a man who had a reputation for secret gift-giving, not a long white bearded fat man who always wears a red outfit with white trimmings.

Like other children, I have been thought since young that there is this man who rewards me with all my desires as long I behave well. But these lies told by majority of the Christian parents in the world are pure examples of the breaking of the eighth commandment, “Thou shall not bear false witness”. Although this act is clearly a sin, it seems this act has turned into a norm that even honorable Christian pastors commit. Do they have doubt in their beliefs or just a common mistake that is so normal that it becomes correct? Nobody knows.

New year is welcomes with the New Year’s Day on the first of January and this New Year is still the same as all the years since the creation of the Gregorian calendar and also the followers of the Eastern Orthodox churches using the Julian Calendar. Which ever calendar does not matter because the significant of the day did not change. People try their best to correct their mistake before that day to turn over a new leaf. This ‘ritual’ has been very popular and productive because many improvements have been made to make life easier to live.

For now, we are caught between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day that makes it a double prosperity for this week and I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I would rather fear life.'

Although death is inevitable, we should concentrate on our well being while we still live to not only give a good impression, but to help others progress in the society to make a better world before leaving it just like a scout leaving a camp site. This just may be another step towards my quest investigating on the MYSTERY OF THE UNKNOWN.

The Book of Happiness makes people realise the importance of happiness in life. Life may not be only about money, conflicts and relationships. The most important thing in life is to be happy. Happiness brings everything to the better because we can think clearer and enjoy our life especially when we know that everything we have done will be recognized and will bring things to the better and not the worst. Happiness is the key to every difficult situation in life and that brings me one step closer towards my quest investigating on the MYSTERY OF THE UNKNOWN.

Mystery Of The Unknown: Lifelike

Life is like a tunnel with doors
Each door leads to another part of life
A foolish person will worry about the closed door behind him
A wise person will continue to open the next door

Life is like wet clay
Each touch we make determines the shape of it
A foolish person will let the potter's wheel spin alone
A wise person will make a vase out of it

Life is like a beach
Each wave washes shells in but washes sand away
A foolish person will collect the shells and let the sand be swept away
A wise person will build a parapet to protect the sand while collecting shells

Life is like an orchard of durian trees
Each durian falls when it ripens
A foolish person will wait under the tree to collect the fruits
A wise person will place baskets and continue to do other things

Life is like a beggar's can
Each coin brings meals for the day
A foolish person will shake the can making noise
A wise person will collect slowly and silently

Life is like an explosive
Each wire is a chance to diffuse it
A foolish person will worry about the passing time
A wise person will take the chance and cut any wire

Life is like a flood
Each casualty is given a canoe
A foolish person will stay at his house mourning his loss
A wise person will leave and start building another elsewhere

Life is like a restaurant
Each dish ordered will determine the meal served
A foolish person will ask for a menu and recommendation
A wise person will order and be ready to eat whatever is served

Although it is said by Forrest Gump that
'Life is like a box of chocolates
you never know what you're gonna get',
a person can actually determine his/her future by manipulating his/her decisions in life. Try your best to figure out the hidden meaning in every simile above. This will give you a better view of my point of life in the quest towards the Mystery Of The Unknown.
